Opaque olive green beneath a layer of transparent green, deepening to near-black at the crown, gathered and shaped by hand at the furnace. The double overlay gives the glass unusual depth, as though the color glows from within. Each drop that falls along its body began as a trail of molten glass, laid onto the form and blown out individually, so no two are the same. Between the layers, gold and copper leaf hold the light, shifting from bright gold to warm copper with every change of angle.
